# General ## What you need to have to run bot? Bot is working only on **64Bit** Systems. Windows 10 and Windows server 2016/2019 is only supported. **Windows 7/8/8.1 and Windows server 2012** **can give trouble and we are not helping if you have any issues on these systems.** To have all dependencies installed to be able to run bot, **Run as Admin** ## If you are using VPS: **Disable IE security** settings, windows server has this enabled by default! The bot does **NOT WORK ON 3D** Enable **Double Click to Attack** Enable **Start & Stop attack** using shortcut bar keys Enable Auto-login Make sure you **set keybinds properly** Set graphics to low (for better performance) (Optional) Disable auto change ammo types (Prevents bot using wrong ammo if you run out) (Optional) Enable retro mode, may give you slightly more FPS, and doesn't affect bot. **Example:** ![DarkOrbit in-game settings example](/files/-M6uWQ-GW-HB1-VlAMGN) # Running DarkBot Please make sure you have everything mentioned in Pre Requisites Installed before proceeding! ## How to run it then? **Download** the latest Bot from [#stable-downloads](https://discord.gg/y8kHNGw) channel ![](/files/-M6uYWfobo6hq5W3R1Te) **Extract** it to a folder, do **NOT run it inside the zip**, it won't work. ![](/files/-M6uZSCV3KdYECCsPy5u) Double click **RunBot.bat**, if it does nothing, check the logs folder ![](/files/-M6uZWQiZklMUAp7w87t) Type Your Username , Password and Press Login! Click On Config and setup all of your keys ![](/files/-M6ufB7ilmFoIxhA4Apj) Here is short explaination: ![](/files/-M6ufV-JZ5ma7P0Txeyk) {% hint style="info" %} You can close now config and start the bot! {% endhint %} # FAQ2 Frequently asked questions, and answers for them. ## **Why are there no aliens or boxes on the list?** You need to see them in the map for them to appear in the lists. ## **What order does priority go in?** The lower the number, the more important it is: * 1 priority is **more** important than #2. (By the logic of Bot.) * Negative priorities are more important than positive priorities. * The bot will shoot the most important npc, and the currently shot npc gets a boost of 10 (full health) to 20 (almost dead) priority. * Ex: You want very high priority (-100) for capitals, and very low for b-rays. (+100) ## **Bot isn't shooting, just circling, what's wrong?** Make sure you set DarkOrbit settings right. Enable start/stop attacks from shortcut bar & double click to start attack. Also make sure your keybinds are properly both in-game and in bot settings. ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/524397530977665024/565677336121573387/Darkorbit_Client_Settings.png) ## **Bot collects palladium/booty too fast, what's wrong?** Set the wait time (in miliseconds) properly in the bot config, use 750-850 for pally, 5000-5500 for booties. Remember palladium is internally called "ore\_8" by DarkOrbit, wich is what darkbot displays. ## How to Login with username that contains special characters? Simply start the **Bot** as usual. Copy your **Username** from somewhere, (for example from a txt or any document) then just **Right-click** and **Paste**. # Black/White Screen Black/White screen in darkbrowser is common issue. In this section we will try to fix it! ## First step! One of them is having Java 16/17 and second one is invalid path (Having bot in OneDrive directory or any other cloud disk) ## How to fix it then? First of all we need to have updated bot to the latest available version for you. Check our ["How to update bot?"](/faq/how-to-update-bot) section. If you can't have updated version, please follow steps under. Let's start from fixing our Java version. Navigate to Start > Settings > Apps > and search for "JAVA" ![](/files/z7qncMyUgEkydzzsJeFK) As you can see there are 3 Java versions, Java 8 Update 291, Java Se Development kit also 291 and **Java SE Development Kit 17.** {% hint style="danger" %} **Only Java 17 and Java 16 are problematic if you use 1.13.17 beta 98 and older!** {% endhint %} Now as we detected we have wrong Java version, simply click on it and then Uninstall. ![](/files/QPOXuG6jCXhtsfks4Xh8) # How to update bot? Updating DarkBot seems hard, but we will show you it's easier than you think! Let's say we are using Darkbot 1.13.17 beta 95 which comes with DarkBot.exe file. ![](/files/51o7ykBWDsjI7b2VAsv2) All we need to do is simply download latest bot version from #unstable-version or #experimental-versions *((if you are donor) in this case we will use experimental version as it's latest available at the moment)* ![](/files/zGNLgC75hiq4kO1GvJkm) Now we need to drag and drop our newly downloaded DarkBot.jar to bot directory. ![](/files/kB0GNXlsTsw94FrH5rjK) Now we have 2 DarkBot files in our folder. It's even simpler than updating bot! ## Downloading plugin on our demand. Navigate to #plugins channel in Improvements section and select plugin which you want to download and use. You can run bot and enable demanded modules from downloaded plugin. ![](/files/mKzqxE6OcYyEkkakayYj) # SID/SID Login What is SID and how to login with it to our backpage? ## What is SID? SID means SessionID. DarkOrbit generates a SID, when you login to your account. It will change everytime you login to your account. While your Bot is working, **DO NOT** login on the Browser to your account. If you do, your Bot will gonna stop working, and it will kick you out. ## Why does my SID says KO or --? * Your SID gets KO'd if it gets Expired or if you tried to login your Account while Bot was connected. * SID state -- means the Bot was unable to test if SID was OK or KO that occurs when Bot and SID refresh at the sametime making it show Invalid or being unable to access it. It's not a big problem but you should be Cautious about it. ## How to access your Account, while Bot is working? 1. **Login** to **Bot**. 2. Wait till the Bot **loads the game**. 3. Click on the **three-line** on top-left corner. 4. Click **HOME**. 5. Your **default browser** will open up, with your account logged in. 6.
